Taylor and Autumn and the Talent Show....

Taylor and Autumn decided that they wanted to be in a talent show... They worked really hard and practiced a lot.

Now all the kids know the song without needing to hear it.. even Isaac can sing parts. We will be driving and they will break out into song at random. Madi sings the loudest in the car and knows every word. She is a crack up!!

Taylor and Autumn had to try out first for Mrs. Sauter. She choose who was going to be in the show.

They were way excited to see their names on the list after they came back to school from the weekend.

That Wed, they held an assembly for the talent show and it just so happened that Nate had the day off so we all got to see them.

I recorded the song but as you can tell at certain points, Isaac and Madi would grab the camera trying to see too, so it wobble and go out of focus for a minute.

We are so proud of both of them!! It is hard to get up in front of a group and they did an awesome job!! This is the second talent show Taylor has been in but the first for Autumn.

The picture is of all the kids and parents that they had to stand in front of.
WHAT BRAVE GIRLS!!!!

Tribe Awards

Anderson Elementary gives out "Tribe Awards" These are when the students demonstrate outstanding behavior and follow the school mission statement.

At different points during the year, each of the kids were nominated for a Tribe Award.

The teachers keep it a secret from the kids and call parents to be there. Each time we would go, we tried to hide from the kids so they wouldn't know that they were getting an award...ya, it never worked! Isaac would yell at the kids when he saw them "hi tay tay!!" He gave away our position. ;-)

The kids get a certificate from the principle that talks about what they did to deserve the award. They would stand by the stage and at the end, some other kids would come up and pop a balloon over their heads filled with confetti. They thought is was great.

Here are the pictures from each assembly.

Gage was the first to get the award.

Taylor was next...

Autumn and Kaydee were next....

These are pictures from a few kids that the kids hang out with..

Every year, Mrs. Sauter teaches her Kindergarten class some “old time rock and roll” with actions. The parents come in to see them perform. Gage loved Mrs. Sauter. She was very patient with him. He really enjoyed school. I am grateful all my kids had such good teachers this year in school. At the beginning of the program, Mrs. Sauter told a little about the year and she mentions that they learned not to put worms in pockets…. That would be Gage…. One day he came home with a cup of worms put in a plastic bag. I asked where he got them and he said he collected them at school. He wanted to keep them and we compromised, he wanted to put them in his room, I said throw them out…he got to keep them in the garage… The next day I was at the school and talking with some of the teachers when Mrs. Sauter come up and told me the rest of the worm story….. It had been raining for two days and everything was soaked. There were worms everywhere. Gage had come back in from recess and been a little weird about his coat so Mrs. Sauter asked him what was going on. He showed her is coat pocket and there were about 30 worms crawling around in it….eeeeeewwwwww!!! She suggested that they might get washed if he left them in his coat so she was able to convince him to put them in a cup. There they sat on his desk for the rest of the day. The little girl that sat next to him told Mrs. Sauter that she couldn’t look at Gage anymore because the worms were so gross. :-) When he went to walk home, she suggested a sandwich bag to put them in so they didn’t spill on the walk home. That is how they got to me… Now Gage kept them for a day in the garage and then he “gave them a drink” and they all died… He has learned that worms don’t really like water ;-) These videos and pictures are from his Spring program. He was the only one in the class that could use a hola-hoop and he is really good at it. The little blond girl in front of him is Emma, she is the bishops daughter and she and Gage are great friends. When I eat lunch with the kids at school, Gage always asks Emma to sit by him.

There is a longer video but I didn't break it up so it wont down load... I will keep trying..

Here are some pictures though..

Isaac and Elmo....

Isaac loves Elmo.. This is his dancing Elmo (used to be Gage's). It sings and dances and Isaac gets a kick out of it. If it falls down, Elmo says "A little help please, Elmo fell down..." Isaac will push it over repeatedly and laugh every time. He is so weird!!!

In the mornings, he watches Elmo’s World on Sesame Street. He sings and dances along with the the theme song. It is so cute!!

The rest of Christmas

Ok, so after much frustration!!! I found a avi to mp4 video converter and it seems to work great.... So here are the rest of the Christmas videos.
